Recorded and mastered in under an hour*, The Big Band attempted to beef up 'The Ballad of Serenity', the mildly limp theme song from the brilliant and all-too-shortlived television show 'Firefly'.
The theme song, written by Joss Whedon and originally performed by Sonny Rhodes, is... not brilliant and it took me a long time to get over its distinct lack of awesomeness, especially when the show itself was so incredibly awesome.
The Big Band originally intended to Motorhead-ise their version but ended up channeling The Misfits instead.

Why??? Do I need to grab a copy of my legally-bought DVDs every time I get a hankering to hear the theme song???
And it took Fox 20 minutes to take it off the 'net. Pooh.
ReplyDeleteBloody Fox! Why do they hate Firefly so much???
